This was the first Halloween that we dressed Aaron in a costume. He was a Zebra! He enjoyed being dressed up quite a bit, he even sat still while I painted his face. I'm pretty sure Aaron wishes everyday was Halloween! He had a blast trick or treating at John's office and around our neighborhood. Like all kiddos on Halloween, he ate way too much candy!

Aaron Five Months
We made it through the holidays! It was so much fun this year with Aaron, even though he is too young to understand. Christmas ended up being pretty crazy this year. John's sister came home from France on Christmas Eve so we didn't have our usual celebration with John's side. Then my brother ended up in the hospital. My parents drove back to Grand Junction on Christmas to be with him. The day after Christmas we headed west as well. We are glad Eric is doing much better now! With all of the craziness we are so thankful for the real reason for Christmas! For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
We did do some celebrating in the midst of everything. It was fun to open presents with/for Aaron. He of course loved the bright bows and crinkly paper. He got some very cute outfits and toys. My parents gave us a backpack carrier which we can not wait to use! As always it was wonderful to spend time with both sides of family.
Aaron continues to be a very happy kid who rarely cries. His easy temperament more than makes up for the fact that he is an atrocious sleeper. He will smile for just about anyone and laughs all the time. It seems like he figures out something new every few days. I think he is somewhere around 15 lbs and 28 in long. He is long and lean! We can't believe how fast he is growing!
Milestones/accomplishments lately: Aaron can now roll from back to tummy AND from tummy to back! He grabs his feet and sucks on his toes. He can sit and stand assisted. He is quite accurate when he grabs things now. The other day he army crawled for the first time.
Favorite things: His changing table, his hands and feet, my hands, hair and face, dad's beard, putting anything and everything in his mouth, standing and jumping (with our help) and being tickled!

Aaron Four Months
This is a little late, but it has been busy around here! We headed to Colorado Springs for Thanksgiving this year. John's parents live there and I have a lot of family there as well. My parents also drove down from Grand Junction. It makes for a crazy holiday, but we love being able so spend time with everyone! Next year will be fun since Aaron will be able to have something for Thanksgiving besides milk!
Aaron had a doctor's appointment a couple weeks ago. He weighs nearly 14 lbs, he is 27 1/2 inches long and he has a head circumference of 16 1/2 inches. He also got his first few immunizations. Aaron did really well with the shot, he didn't even cry! I gave him tylenol when we got home. I never did notice any fussiness or fever. Maybe the tylenol helped! As far as how mama did with the shot? I did great! I guess when we have already been through an ER visit complete with a sinus swab, IV, heal stick and chest X-Ray a little shot doesn't seem so bad!
Milestones/accomplishments lately: Aaron is very efficient at grabbing and holding his toys. He also puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. He can roll from back to belly and he is getting close to rolling from belly to back. We have to make sure he is buckled into his swing and bouncer since he is trying to lean forward.
Favorite things: Getting tickled, his changing table, his hungry caterpillar, putting toys in his mouth, playing with his feet, playing with our hands and being walked around to look at things. We sure love our little boy!

Aaron Three Months
Hard to believe he is already three months old! He is changing so much everyday. We are having so much fun watching him grow and learn new things. Aaron hasn't had a weight check lately but I think he is around 13 lbs. I measured him and got 24 1/2 inches long with a head circumference of 16 inches. He is growing so much! The week before Halloween we headed over the mountains to visit with my parents. John had to leave town for another week-long business trip. We had a good time with my parents and they loved spending time with Aaron! We carved pumpkins on Halloween and handed out candy. However, the best part of the day was finding out that Aaron would have a new playmate! Our good friends gave birth to a son that afternoon! We are very excited for them and glad Aaron will have a good buddy to hang out with.
Milestones/accomplishments lately: Aaron can now grab and hold onto toys! He loves touching new things. Laughing! This can been so much fun, we love trying to get him to laugh. He can also lift is head while on his tummy and he even pushes his chest up a little bit. I think he is getting very close to rolling over too.
Favorite things: Getting his diaper changed and laying on the changing table while we talk to him. Standing (with our help, of course) being carried facing out so he see new things. Grabbing and touching new things, being tickled and seeing himself in the mirror.
Halloween!

New Years 2009
This year for New Years Eve, we had a fondue party! The meal started out with Gruyere cheese fondue, next we had tenderloin beef and chicken, and for desert chocolate peanut butter fondue. It was quite delicious and we enjoyed spending the last day of 2008 with friends.

Pumpkin Carving!
John, Chris, Matt and I had some fun carving pumpkins the week before Halloween.

Matt's pumpkin. I love the scar face.

Chris's pumpkin. His lockness monster had scales!

The other side of Chris's pumpkin. Yep. It's Barney the dinosaur being hung...

John's pumpkin. Very cool.

And mine. Of course it has a raptor on it...
